Playerhouse

Doesn't look bad. I'll admit it lacks variety, but it's not a bad picture. Flows nicely. Just needs more detail. Hell it's just a house.

Gameshow

This is from yesterday. I forgot to post it up. I finished the game show script. All I can say is that I hope it's funny. I think personally it's not so bad, it's amusing. Definitely not BAD to sit through, definitely something you can enjoy. Falling out of your seat laughing? I'm not sure! I've been joking all my life though, I'm...hoping this one scores home with everyone. This part of the game is really all humor. And humor is hard!

So far everything's on schedule.

I'm proud of you

As you should all know, I hate my sister. She has lavascious spending. So she divorced with her ex-boyfriend and guess what happened. The school said "hey. You divorced. Pay up." So she owes them a bunch of money. Me on the other hand, I made 800$ on a commission. What did I spend it on? I gave it all to my mom, she needs help with the rent. I imagined buying a PS3... that's about it. Anyways, I gave my mom that money, and my sister takes it because she's stupid like that.

Now she comes in with a rolls royce printer. Did I say printer, or did I say color printing/scanning/bluetooth/wifi/faxing machine? She bought the thing for 150. Where's the money she owes me? Pshh. Anyways, the better news which certainly surprized me is that she's keeping it in the living room (she's moved out). Since I'm a hallway over, and since it has wifi capabilities, the thing is practically mine. This made me happy. I mean I certainly don't want to buy a 150 dollar machine like that, but if it came for free I wouldn't mind. But then it made me think. The hell is she going to do with that printer? Just regular printing jobs? Did she really need to spend 150 on it? She comes into this house every weekend just to teach piano, and sometimes she prints out musical sheets. DOES THAT COST 150!?

So I take the thing out for a test drive. Naturally, I have nothing to print that doesn't have girls getting fucked. Except this picture. It's from a manga I did. I printed it and my mom saw it. She said she was proud of me, the thing looks professional. She even doubted that I drew it, so I had to swear. I know it's not at all near professional like the original concept artist, but you know, as long as my mother feels good. I said, yeah I worked hard to get that in.

So I'm not such a fucked up psycho pervert drawing girls surrounded by amputated dicks. I'm....almost professional. My dad moved out yesterday too. Went to Hawaii looking for money and a new life at 55. It's not every day you get to blog and say your dad left you. Seeya Dad.

7-eleven

7-elevens are painful to make... there's too many colors. Handling a lot of colors is a real pain in the butt. Oh does it look a little plain? The bags of chips look too solid one color plain to you? Well I could sit here all day masterly designing logos and chip bags, but no, I have a game to make in a limited amount of time.

Carmen's house

I will be done with my part of the game by the deadline March 24th.
I'm sure I can handle everything up until then.
Even better, I don't have to take my girlfriend to school anymore. Winter break is on, so I can get a lot of work done, and by the time she comes back she'll pretty much have her license. Then I can really get things done the way I want.

But yeah, I can guarantee March 24th. I have reviewed everything I need to do for the game. It's looking like I'm going to take AT LEAST until February though.

Taiyo's House

I'm going to try to consistently put out one finished background a day. For some parts this might be unreasonable though, like the city view. I just need something I can easily stick to.

Update

So yeah, that's what I've been doing this week. Not that much.

Update 1

Backgrounds

Progress so far... Inside the car and inside a 7-eleven. Backgrounds have always been a painful part for me.

Back

I was playing a game the whole time I was gone for Thanksgiving. It's a really addictive game called Insurgency. I've deleted it. I'll try to not have that ever happen again. I've been really dissapointed in myself lately, and it seems like it was spiralling down for me. But despite a busy schedule because my girlfriend won't quickly get her license, yes I want to blame this on her, I've only been able to write some more for the story and get these two pictures in. And a lot of gaming in too. But that game's gone. I'm starving for it, but I deleted it.

Taiyopf

This is Taiyo. She looks cool huh? This is your last chance to back out of this project, haha. She's the only "manly" chick, I will promise that, but the quality of all the other characters should be like this.

ReddishF

Okay. This is thanksgiving weekend, so I'll be able to get a LOT done this weekend. Watch me! First off, this is Reddish. She'll be the second of two bounty hunters in the game. She's a nice person, doesn't really care what's going on about the scroll on Player's back. She's also a character design that's not mine! I asked the original creator if I could put his character in the game, his style really goes hand in hand with mine so I decided to put her in.

Next up, discussion about idle places on the town map. The town is going to be called Hunniton Beach by the way. It's related to a town near mine called Hunnington Beach. Of course we can change this if we think of another name. But yeah, onto that idle places feature... I'm sure you were thinking as well on what to do with these places in town that do nothing for now.

A good idea is so that the player can work there. All locations should have a confirmation before the player spends time. The question would be like "Would you like to spend the evening/afternoon with Taiyo?" or "Would you like to mix drinks at the bar for 100$ for the night?". The bar's first visit would let the player practice drinking. If he practices it, then on a later story piece where the player drinks, the story in that part of the game changes. After the first visit, then the bartender tells the player that the bartender wants less hours of working, so the player can take over and get quick cash. Other places would have replayable enemy encounters, like the Dojo. The park would have the player eating a hot dog, only to find the paper he's eating it with is a scroll. Some places that offer scrolls would only open at a certain time, so that the player can't just grab these special scrolls from the very beginning and be very powerful.
Criticm of the idea... First off, it would add more programming to this, and maybe a few more drawings on my part. I think it'd be fine if we left it to the player's imagination rather than drawing a player mixing drinks/doing various jobs. From a gaming perspective though, it would definitely add a layer of decision making. Before, the first playthrough for the player would have much less decisions. He would either date a girl, or sacrifice a trip to the store. The second playthrough for the player would have to be very strategetic, as he'd have to plan his only three free trips to the store, as to when he'd take them. But now, with the new idle places feature, the player has many decisions to choose from. Even the first playthrough, the player would have to think. Should I date the girl, or get a free item/money? With this new feature, to rebalance the game, the shop would have to be a free place to go to, doesn't cost time. If we DIDN'T make the shop a free place to go to, then the player would have three basic different decisions to go through when he's playing, and we'd have to balance the game so that we take ALL of this into account. With that also, the difficulty would ramp up, and we'd have either a very easy game for people that can easily leisure to get free money/shopping versus the very hard game where the player can barely do either.

As for a decision, I believe the game is better off with these new idle places. Free money/free scrolls/free enemy refighting(more money) is something the new player would absolutely need, but the veteran of the game would do his best to play without so he could get two girls at once. However, I do realise it will take significantly more time to program these in. I think we should simply wait. It seems mostly easy to add in, but timely. If we have the time we should do it.

Big fluffy update

So. On Friday... I got bit by a spider. I was driving to my girlfriend's school and I got bit by a spider, only I didn't realize it. I was just itching at the spot...and then I was really slumping over. One hand on the steering wheel. Urgent Care said that I was fine, I just had allergies. They slapped me some Bennadryl and I was gone for the rest of the day.

Saturday. I got some work done, hold on you'll see it. The only thing I regret is not posting it. Sunday. My anniversary with my girlfriend. It's weird but we actually celebrate it every month. It's embarrassing too. Monday. I got some work in. I watched Superbad... we only wanted to watch 20 minutes but we ended up watching all of it. It was terrific.

I finished up Nikita. Nikita is an enemy in the game. She ambushes the player.

Nikita- Say your prayers, dear. We can't let someone with the power to dominate the world walk freely among the streets of Hunniton Beach. I'm here to annhilate you.
(Nikita Defeated)
Nikita- Take...this....(She hands you the Desert Eagle)
Nikita- Don't....let...anyone...control you....eughhhhh...

So yeah, she's more of a good guy from the start than a bad guy. She's just trying to save the world... and ends up giving the player her Desert Eagle (which during her fight should be her best move). Even though your time with Nikita is very short, I hope that many players will fall in love with her, or at least the new desert eagle they get.

I also drew the Arcade. I also have the Arcade Machine's Screen planned. So when the player gets to choose to go easy or go really hard on the girls, the screen they will see is the actual "arcade game" screen.

And last... the main girls of the game. Only pencil for now. This, I decided to promise, is that if I have enough time by the end of the game, I want to make many different outfits for the girls. I want there to be...4 outfits per girl. Just different casual clothings. Carmen would of course have three more than this because she goes to the mall to dress up differently. So yeah.

Take a look at the picture and guess which girls are which.
Answer: The girls are from left to right, Carmen, Shannon, Elizabeth, Taiyo.

Story Progress

I wrote all of Shannon's story. A little more of Carmen's. So now I just have to write the rest of Carmen's, which I already have a good general idea of how it'll turn out. My girlfriend loves all of the story so far, I guess that's not that great since she's my girlfriend, but I watch her read it and I get good responses. I'm going to make sure everything stays sharp. I'll upload an update to Julien maybe tomorrow.

park day and night

3:10 to Yuma is okay. I was expecting more? I watched the rest of it, which was an hour. I got my girlfriend and me some carna asada fries. If you get a half order, they always give you a full order for 3/4ths the price. Good deal. Well... This took awhile to color. Two hours? So I spent three hours on this thing. To think I would spend a whole 10 hours doing the other backgrounds from Aching Dreams because I would hand paint them and ink them... Well, it looks nice, the sketch does give it that texture feeling that you can't make very easily in a computer. That's all for now.

Parkp1

I made dinner, potatoes again. Everyday. Sandwich. Everyday. I watched 46 minutes of 3:10 to Yuma... Then I got back to it. I think the pencils are finished on this one and it's ready for color. I felt really happy doing this drawing. Maybe because I barely ran into any problems. My problem with backgrounds is that I'm not really sure what to do when you pull farther back into the background. I'm suppose to be less detailed and use flatter shapes and colors. Hmmm. Well I hope it looks nice. My girlfriend likes the man reading.

Restaurantf

I kinda cheated on this one, because I already did it, heh. Oh something like 5 months ago. My fucking dad has a gambling problem. I hate saying that because it makes me seem like I'm related to the motherfucker. I've always believed in good sweat and work. He spends his money, I've given almost every dime to my mom. But yeah, like I was saying. We drop my girlfriend back at her house, which is two hours away, then he loves to stop at the Pechanga Casino. He dropped me at the Buffet, which is free of charge of course for me, since he gambles the casino basically is paid to babysit me. So I sit there at the buffet, eat once. Draw where I'm sitting. Eat twice. Can you believe that? I did the dirtiest trick, sitting in the buffet for 2 hours to get a second meal in.

How long did I spend on this? Hour?

lockerroomf

Well, I have to say sorry that the first image I post on here is crap. Hah. This didn't take me very long. One to Two hours, something like that. Very little painting involved.

It's also not incredibly integral to the game, so I'm not worried. Elizabeth appears here for the player to talk to, and Taiyo meets here once. This scene does appear in some parts of the main campaign when either Elizabeth or Carmen meet him here.

I also finished 80% of the side stories over the weekend. Other then that I drew some X-Men porn for commission work, and I also drew up the three main characters for the game, but when they're finished I'll post them.

The story with two secret organizations going at it... hmm. I could change it. It's nothing spectacular. It's very changeable right now. I'll just have to keep thinking. The side stories still seem very concrete and easily manageable.

No progress

Yesterday I spent the rest of my Friday taking a break. Well, I'm suppose to do that every week. Saturday. I want to get training in. I'll try to make this clear. I can train whenever I want, everything except actual work/commissions/driving girlfriend to school can stop for this I believe, even the game. The game will benefit it in the end, and I do believe I have some loose ends on my anatomy so I'll be looking it over today.

jcomm7

Here's 17 dollars of a commission. So I ended up doing commissions anyways. I got home expecting no work, but the email came.(sigh). Tomorrow maybe, but I have to have my night out. Friday or Saturday is my night out, depends if my friend is open.

Beginnings

Finally have some time to start this blog! Hi, I'm Michael. There should only be Julien (programmer for the game), Ashley (girlfriend), me, and future unnamed reader reading this. I hope that this blog will be very big like the last blog I did. With more posts!

This blog will be about Alchemy Hentai Game (title to be changed when I find a better one). This blog will have drawings, story concepts, game concepts, dialouges.
Everything will be organized!

Anyways, I finally got all the commissions out of the way, although I'm expecting another tomorrow, that doesn't mean I can't get stuff done in today. I'm pretty busy in the morning into the afternoon, and I finally get home so I can work. Well, just for a bit, I gotta pickup my girlfriend soon.

There's also going to be really confusing title names, but to straighten things out...
taiyo(name of character)h(if present, means it's a hentai picture)4(number of hentai picture)p/c(pencil version, color version)4(version number)
So that's what taiyoh3c4 means. Since I'm also doing story this time, titles with sto in front means that it's a story based update.
